Weltanalyse is an independent Swedish digital news publisher, founded in 2024 and operated by Nordklar Media Ltd, a private company registered in Gibraltar. Our mission is straightforward: to deliver trustworthy, clear coverage of Swedish politics, economics, culture and current affairs for readers in Sweden and internationally. Every article is written by a named journalist, reviewed by an editor and fact‑checked before publication – no spin, no oversimplification, just reliable journalism.
Who are we and what do we cover?
We are Weltanalyse – a newsroom dedicated to Swedish news and explainers for a German‑speaking audience and beyond. Our reporting covers Swedish politik (politics), wirtschaft and economy, culture, society and current affairs. We aim to help readers understand complex issues in Sweden without bias or hype, whether it’s a Riksdag debate, a shift in monetary policy or a cultural trend in Stockholm.
Our tagline, “Nachrichten, Analysen und Hintergründe für Deutschland,” reflects our primary readership, but our coverage is designed to be accessible to anyone interested in Sweden. From local kommunpolitik to national reforms and international implications, we focus on what matters.
How do we work?
Every piece we publish goes through a rigorous three‑step process: it is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and checked by our fact‑checking team before it goes live. This ensures accuracy, fairness and accountability – no anonymous content, no unchecked claims.
Our editorial policies are transparent. You can read the full details in our Editorial Policy and our Fact‑Checking Policy. Artificial intelligence tools may support research or drafting, but they never replace human editorial judgement. All published content is approved by a human editor, and AI must never fabricate quotes, sources or expert profiles.
Who is responsible for what we publish?
Our chefredaktör (editor‑in‑chief) is David Schuster. He is responsible for editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. The daily newsroom is led by Daniela Sommer, redaktionschef (head of editorial), who oversees headline review, commissioning and the overall news agenda.
They are supported by a dedicated team: Lukas Engels (politics editor), Monika Fischer (economy reporter), Benjamin Hartmann (culture and society editor) and Stefanie Lang (head of fact‑checking). You can meet the full team on our Our Team page.
What you can expect from us
You can expect journalism that is grounded in facts, not spin. Every article is fact‑checked and approved by a human editor. We clearly label sponsored or commercial content, and we disclose affiliate links. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions.
We also hold ourselves accountable. If we make a mistake, we correct it openly. Our Corrections Policy explains how we handle errors. We also follow a strict AI and Automation Policy to ensure technology supports, not replaces, human judgement.
