We are particularly interested in stories that connect to the riksdag, the government (regeringen), municipal politics, the economy (wirtschaft), and the everyday lives of people in Sweden. If your tip involves a conflict of interest, a broken promise, or an unreported consequence of a new law, it is likely to meet our editorial mission. We avoid rumours, speculation or material that appears to serve a personal or commercial agenda. Every tip is evaluated on its potential to inform the public without spin or oversimplification.

What should you include in your tip?

You do not need to write a full article — a clear summary with the key points is enough. If you wish to remain anonymous, state that upfront and we will take appropriate steps to protect your identity. Please include a way to reach you for follow-up questions if you are willing to be contacted; otherwise, explain how you can be reached securely. We cannot investigate tips that lack enough substance to verify.
How do we verify tips?
Our fact-checking desk, led by Stefanie Lang (fact-checking editor), examines every tip before publication. We cross-reference documents, consult independent sources and, where possible, contact the subjects of the story for comment. Our approach follows the standards described in our fact-checking policy and our sources & standards guide.
We do not publish a tip unless we are confident it meets our editorial accuracy requirements. If we cannot verify a claim, we will either leave it out or report that we are seeking verification. In all cases, the final decision rests with Chefredaktör David Schuster, who is responsible for publication standards at Weltanalyse.
What about confidentiality?
We take your privacy seriously. You can submit a tip anonymously, and we will not disclose your identity without your explicit consent. If you are a whistleblower, we encourage you to describe the sensitivity of the information so we can assess the best way to handle it.

Your message is received by the newsdesk and logged. If it matches our editorial priorities, an editor or reporter will review it — usually within two working days. We may follow up with questions. If we decide to pursue the story, we will brief you on next steps and, if you wish, keep you informed of progress.
Due to the volume of tips, we cannot respond to every submission. If you do not hear back within a week, it generally means the tip did not meet our criteria at that time. You are welcome to resubmit if new information emerges. We will not use your tip for any purpose other than journalistic investigation without your permission.
