Berichtigungspolitik

Weltanalyse (weltanalyse.de) is committed to correcting errors promptly and transparently. Our corrections process is managed by the standards desk under Stefanie Lang, Ansvarig för faktagranskning, who ensures that every material mistake is acknowledged and fixed with a clear correction note. Readers can report errors by emailing corrections@weltanalyse.de.

How do we handle mistakes?

When a factual error is identified in any article, we assess its significance and issue a correction. For material errors – those that change the meaning or accuracy of a story – we update the text and add a correction note at the top or bottom of the article, specifying what was wrong and when the change was made. Minor errors such as typos or formatting issues are fixed without a note.

Our team reviews every correction request within one business day. If the issue requires deeper investigation, we may take longer but will acknowledge receipt and provide a timeline. All corrections are logged internally and reported to David Schuster, Chefredaktör, for oversight.

Who oversees corrections?

Stefanie Lang, Ansvarig för faktagranskning (fact-checking editor), leads the standards desk that handles corrections. She is responsible for verifying the error, coordinating the fix with the relevant reporter or editor, and ensuring that the correction note meets our editorial guidelines. If a dispute arises about a correction, David Schuster, Chefredaktör, makes the final decision.

Our corrections process is separate from complaints or concerns about editorial judgement; those are handled under our formal complaints procedure.

What you can expect from us

We take accuracy seriously and aim to correct any mistake as quickly as possible. When we update an article, we are transparent about what changed and why. You will never see a silent edit that alters facts without explanation. Our correction notes include the date and nature of the error, so you can understand what was wrong and how it was fixed.

This commitment is part of our broader editorial policy and fact-checking policy, which detail how we prevent errors and verify information before publication. We also welcome reader feedback to help us maintain high standards.

How to report an error

If you spot a mistake in any article, please email corrections@weltanalyse.de with the article URL, a description of the error, and any supporting sources. You can also use our general contact form at /about-us/contact/ with “Correction” in the subject line. We will respond within one business day and explain what action we have taken.

For urgent or complex issues, you may escalate directly to David Schuster, Chefredaktör, at anders.lindqvist@weltanalyse.de or +46 8 525 030 61. He handles appeals and ensures that our corrections process remains fair and rigorous.

Questions or concerns?

If you have questions about this policy or want to discuss a specific correction, contact Stefanie Lang at emma.sandberg@weltanalyse.de or our general standards desk at factcheck@weltanalyse.de. For formal complaints not related to factual errors, please refer to our complaints procedure. We value your trust and are committed to continuous improvement.
