Beschwerdeverfahren

Weltanalyse takes every complaint seriously. We are committed to correcting errors, addressing concerns promptly and maintaining the trust of our readers. This procedure outlines how to submit a complaint, how we handle it, and how to escalate it if you remain dissatisfied. Please send all complaints to complaints@weltanalyse.de.

How do I submit a complaint?

Send an email to complaints@weltanalyse.de with the subject “Complaint”. Include the article title, URL, the specific issue, and what you believe should be corrected. For factual inaccuracies, please also refer to our corrections policy.

If your complaint concerns a privacy matter, you may additionally contact privacy@weltanalyse.de. We aim to acknowledge all complaints within two working days.

Who handles my complaint?

Our fact‑checking team, led by Stefanie Lang (Ansvarig för faktagranskning), reviews all complaints initially. She can be reached at emma.sandberg@weltanalyse.de or +46 8 525 030 66.

If the matter relates to editorial standards or publication decisions, the complaint is forwarded to the newsroom under Redaktionschef Daniela Sommer (karin.bergstrom@weltanalyse.de). For issues that cannot be resolved at this level, the complaint is escalated to the Chefredaktör, David Schuster.

What happens after I submit a complaint?

We investigate every complaint against our editorial policy. Our fact‑checkers verify sources, consult the named writer and editor, and determine whether a correction, clarification or note is required.

You will receive a substantive response explaining the outcome. If a correction is warranted, we update the article and append a notice. All corrections are logged and linked from the article page.

What you can expect from us

We handle complaints impartially and without delay. You will be kept informed of progress, and we treat your personal data in accordance with our privacy policy.

If your complaint is about sponsored content or affiliate links, we will review it against our advertising and affiliate disclosure and the sponsored content policy. Commercial relationships never determine our editorial decisions, and any failure to label commercial content is treated as a serious breach.

How do I escalate a complaint?

If you are not satisfied with the initial response, you may escalate directly to David Schuster, Chefredaktör. Email anders.lindqvist@weltanalyse.de with your original complaint reference number and a brief explanation of why you remain dissatisfied.

David Schuster is responsible for all editorial standards and final publication decisions at Weltanalyse. He will personally review the case and provide a final written decision within ten working days. If the complaint involves a legal matter, we may also consult our legal team at legal@weltanalyse.de.
